How to play Anime Wordle

Anime Wordle is a daily character guessing game. You get up to 8 guesses, and each guess returns clue tiles for series, gender, hair color, eye color, genre, and release year. The goal is to use those signals to identify the exact character before you run out of attempts.

What the clue colors mean

Green means the field is an exact match. If the series tile is green, your guess came from the same anime as the answer.

Gray means that field does not match the answer. Gray tiles help eliminate whole groups of characters quickly.

Yellow on year means the release year is close. The arrow points toward the correct direction, so you know whether the answer is older or newer than your guess.

A simple strategy that works

Start with a well-known character from a major franchise. That gives you a strong first read on series, genre, and year.

If the series is wrong but genre and year are close, pivot into another character from a nearby era rather than guessing randomly.

Use hair and eye color as tie-breakers once you narrow the answer to a smaller group of candidates.

Where to practice

If the full mixed roster feels too broad, move into a single-series page like Naruto Wordle or One Piece Wordle. Those focused modes use the same rules, but the answer pool stays inside one franchise so each clue becomes easier to interpret.
